Australian Rally Championship leader Simon Evans showed the International guests how it done posting the best time 2:48.8. Fellow Aussie Chris Atkinson meanwhile lead the way in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship field with a 2:50.2.
In a well attended super special at Corbould Park Caloundra, competitors from the APRC, ARC, Rally Queensland and the popular Australian Rally Classics provided the crowd with a close up look at old and new Rally cars.
A highlight was Jack Monkhouse in his Datsun 180B SS, who posted the overall quickest time on the first run through. Monkhouse however used his second run to display his drift skills providing the larger crowd with plenty of thrills.
