Director of Walkinshaw Racing, Ryan Walkinshaw, has confirmed that his family owned Australian racing operation is not for sale.
In light of recent speculation surrounding Walkinshaw Racing being on the market, Walkinshaw Tuesday emphatically refuted the claim.
“The Walkinshaw family is committed to our Australian racing programs”, Walkinshaw said.
“Like I have said before, there is no truth to these rumours - they are completely baseless. We have no intention of selling – there is no reason for us to do so.
“It was one of my dad’s prized achievements and he worked extremely hard to get the racing business to the top.
“There is no way that the Walkinshaws are going to back down from our clear objective to re-establish Walkinshaw Racing as the dominant force within Australian Motorsport.
“We have a very experienced and focussed leader in Steve Hallam. We have fantastic drivers, a talented team and a loyal partner group – collectively, we are committed to winning races and championships”.
Walkinshaw Racing encompasses the Official Factory Racing Team of Holden, the Holden Racing Team, and Supercheap Auto Racing which compete in the V8 Supercars Championship, Coates Hire Racing of the Dunlop Series and Bundaberg Racing of the V8 Utes Series.
