Triple Eight Race Engineering confirm Vodafone sponsorship end

Following today’s news from Vodafone Hutchison Australia that their title sponsorship of our V8 Supercar team, TeamVodafone, will finish at the conclusion of the 2012 V8 Supercar Championship season, everyone at Triple Eight Race Engineering would like to acknowledge and thank VHA and all their staff, past and present, for their unwavering support over the last six years.

Together Triple Eight and Vodafone have set new benchmarks for motor sports in Australia, both on and off the track, since our first race together in Adelaide 2007. To date we have enjoyed 68 race wins together, three Bathurst 1000 wins, three Teams Championships and three Drivers Championships (and fully intend to add to all of those during the balance of 2012!). At the same time, together, we have created some of the most memorable activations ever seen in the Sport in Australia such as the unique Red Dust livery for Darwin, the cammo livery for Townsville and two sensations F1 opportunities at Albert Park and Bathurst for JDub and Lowndsey respectively with Vodafone Mclaren. And there’s still more to come before TeamVodafone signs off at Homebush in December!

Whilst we are looking forward to continuing to work with Vodafone in the future, this chapter of Triple Eight’s history is one that we can all be very proud of as it draws to a close and from Craig, Jamie, Roland, Adrian and everyone else in the team we again extent our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Vodafone including, most especially, Stephen Saunders.

Meanwhile we will be on track in 2013 with new title sponsorship and we’ll be bigger, better and faster as we roll out our Car of the Future Holden Commodores!

With best wishes to Stewy, Ant and all at VHA from the entire crew at Triple Eight Race Engineering Australia.
