Wilson Security Racing will re-unite with Brad Jones Racing in 2012, providing David Wall with his full-time entry into the V8 Supercar Championship.

Wall, who was rookie of the year in the 2006 Carrera Cup Championship, won back-to-back Australian GT Championships in 2009 and 2010 and already has experience with BJR after co-driving Car 21 in 2010 and 2011.

“I can’t believe this opportunity has actually come together,” said Wall, who is based in Sydney. “I have worked with BJR for the past two years in the enduros so I know how committed they are.

“The whole crew and engineering team is a great group to work with and I am looking forward to putting everything I have into this opportunity. I think it is awesome to be joining Brighty, Fabian and the BJR crew.”

As well as Wilson Security, Wall also expressed his gratitude to long-time sponsors Payce, Paynter Dixon and Astrontech, who will continue backing him into 2012.

Now in its sixth consecutive year of high-level motorsport sponsorship, which includes ongoing relationships with BJR drivers Jason Bright and Fabian Coulthard, Wilson Security CEO John McMellan says V8 Supercars is the company’s key branding platform.

“2012 will see Wilson Security both further expand and its presence within V8 Supercars,” said McMellan, who also announced additional major branding presence on both BJR cars this year. “Having three of the cars that we will be associated with in 2012 together is obviously a real positive for us.

“We’ve always focused on young, developing drivers like Wall who are traditionally with non-factory teams because, in business, we know you need a level of quality ‘personal’ service where the customer deals with the decision maker

“When we bring our customers and staff to the track it’s good to see a similar ethos from the teams and drivers that we are associated with, as it reinforces a consistent commercial message.”

Wall will have his first opportunity to drive his new car on February 11 at Sandown, during the official test day.
