Craig Lowndes and Roary the Racing Car to feature at Albert Park

TV pre-school sensation Roary the Racing Car will be skidding into Melbourne again for the Australian Grand Prix on Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th March 2010 to provide high octane kid-friendly activities for the whole family.

V8 Supercar Champion Craig Lowndes will also be meeting the fans at the Roary Pit Zone to celebrate his new role on Roary the Racing Car as ‘CONROD’, the big throaty Aussie V8, set to launch on ABC Kids January 29, 2010.

With over 10,000 excited fans visiting the hugely popular ‘Roary Pit Zone’ at the 2009 Grand Prix, the Roary marquee will return in 2010, offering a wide variety of FREE entertainment across the four days.

Highlights of the Roary Pit Zone at the Australian Grand Prix include:
•    Children 12 and under FREE to the Aussie Grand Prix and Roary Pit Zone*
(*When accompanied by a paying adult. Transaction fees apply.)

•    Roary the Racing Car’s high energy LIVE shows ‘Mechanico Fantastico’ daily.

•    Roary Pit Zone complete with interactive games, Roary car races, competitions, face painting, treasure hunts, and many more thrill-seeking activities to keep the little ones occupied.

•    CRAIG LOWNDES, Roary the Racing Car and Big Chris Meet and Greets

Watch Craig’s debut episode as ‘Conrod’ on Friday 29th January, 2010 on ABC1 at 8am followed on ABC2 at 1pm. The new series will continue to screen weekdays at these times, but if you miss it,  Conrod’s special DVD “Meet Conrod the V8” and a select range of Conrod merchandise will launch in MARCH at all major retailers in Australia.

Roary the Racing Car is a turbo charged BAFTA-nominated pre-school series designed and developed by Keith Chapman (Fifi and the Flowertots and Bob the Builder) and narrated by racing legend Sir Stirling Moss. It has now been sold to over 130 countries worldwide.
