Jamie Whincup and Team Vodafone grab Bahrain pole

E-mail Print PDF

For those who hoped Bahrain might see a change at the top of the V8 table, forget it.  Jamie Whincup has claimed his second of three poles contested this season.

Fresh from his first ever podium Shane van Gisbergen will start beside him on the front row, giving himself a chance to make it 2 podiums in a row.

Next on the grid will be Mark Winterbottom and Garth Tander.  Continuing the Holden and Ford line up on the grid James Courtney and Will Davison will start from the third row.

Steven Richards will line up alongside Craig Lowndes, who for the second weekend in a row was not quite able to carry his qualifying pace into the top 10 shootout.

Greg Murhpy and Russell Ingall round out the top 10, a result both are sure to be happy with.
