Current V8 Ute rookie leader, Paul ‘Willi’ Williams, is heading home to Kalgoorlie and has an exciting schedule of appearances lined up with his Holden SS Commodore from 15 - 23 September.

The tour schedule will coincide with the Kalgoorlie Horse Racing Round that culminates with the Kalgoorlie Cup on September 19th.

Williams will be attending the event and signing autographs with both his car and former V8 Ute driver and team manager James Brock.

The boys will also be judging a fashion show at the event, “because I know all about fashion!” says Williams.

However it’s not all work and no play, Williams will head to the Kalgoorlie Diamonds Hannans Handicap with the team to enjoy the races on Wednesday 15th September.

“It will be a relaxing day for the team and we can just have a good day without the stresses of racing.”

The following day, Williams will be taking his car along to his old primary school, South Kalgoorlie, where he will be speaking to the students about road safety, then will end the day visiting the KCGM Super Pit.

On Friday night Williams and the team have an appearance at the local pub (Judd’s).

“We are hoping to have the Ute set up in the beer garden so the guests can get close to the car and talk to the guys, as well as poster giveaways.” Williams says.

On Sunday 18th September Williams will have his Ute set up at the local Boulder Markets where he will be available for a meet and greet.

The car will then be taken to Perth on Wednesday 23rd September and Williams will be taking his sponsors for hot laps.

“The team is looking forward to coming over to WA in September to show off the car and meet the sponsors. Then full steam ahead to Bathurst!” says team manager James Brock.

Williams, who is only leading the Racer Industries Rookie of the Year ladder by 20 points will go head-to-head with fellow Rookie Gary Carson at the next round of the 2009 Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series – protected by Armor All at Mt Panorama, Bathurst, 9th  – 11th October.
